Repairs
Organizing minor repairs before they grow
Small problems compound. A loose tile becomes a water issue, a dripping faucet raises a bill. Keeping an organized repair list helps you decide what to handle and what to research further.
Sort repairs by urgency
Group items into three lists so the important things happen first.
- Now: active leaks, electrical concerns, safety hazards.
- Soon: failing caulk, sticking doors, loose railings.
- Someday: cosmetic scuffs, minor drywall dents.
Common minor repairs
Many homeowners handle these with basic tools and patience: patching small drywall holes, re-caulking tubs and sinks, tightening cabinet hinges, replacing worn weatherstripping, and adjusting door strikes.
Know when to pause
Anything involving gas, structural elements, main electrical panels, or roofing should be researched carefully and is often regulated. Look up local requirements and verify provider credentials independently.
